Characteristics Of Common Fabrics
Canvas Totes Fabric knowledge is a question we often mention. What do you think? We have seen it in daily life. Clothes are seen every day! Let's take a look at the characteristics of common fabrics!
Yarn-dyed fabric refers to the warp and weft of the cloth, which are different in color. For example, the warp is red and the weft is white. The advantage of yarn-dyed fabric is that the yarn is dyed before it is woven into cloth. Its color fastness is better than that of ordinary printed and dyed fabrics, and it is less likely to fade when washed. But most of them are striped and the patterns are relatively simple.
I don't know much about printing and dyeing. I just heard that active printing and dyeing is more environmentally friendly. It is related to the composition of the dye itself and the printing and dyeing method.
Fabric shrinkage rate: Generally speaking, cotton-containing fabrics will shrink after washing, polyester-cotton is the least, and pure cotton is second. Among pure cotton, yarn-dyed fabrics shrink more. However, the country has relevant grade standards, and the warp direction of pure cotton fabrics is -4%, and the weft direction is -3% or less. That is, if a 200*230CM quilt cover is 1.95*2.21CM after washing, it is considered to be within the standard range of shrinkage. The size of shrinkage is related to the thickness of the cotton yarn and the density of the fabric. The finer the cotton yarn, the greater the fabric density, and the less shrinkage.
Regarding the pilling problem: Generally, only fabrics that have undergone the singeing process are good cotton fabrics that do not pill.
